There is nothing grand about this dish. As a vehicle for your leftover rice, those waning grains, forgotten and brittle, become soft and resurrected in the glow of soy and pork. Basic cuts from your freezer stash and an ignominious bag of cashews from the petrol station, et voila – a shamelessly piggy supper for four. Of course, if you don’t have any leftover rice, just cook ⅔ cup rice following the method.
