Palace Special Pizza

I was working with Marquee Pizzeria in Coralville, Iowa, and we kept driving by this place, A & A Pagliai’s Pizza. The old-school sign was so awesome (signs are important) I had to go. With respect to Pagliai’s history (they opened their first pizzeria in 1957), the pizza was basically your classic Midwest tavern-style—crispy and loaded with toppings. Pagliai’s supreme (topped with sausage, beef, pepperoni, mushroom, and onion) is the “Palace Special.” It’s a cool name for a supreme. Sh
