Sabayon / Zabaglione

It was a photograph in Nova, a thrilling magazine to a teenage boy, which prompted me to first attempt this, to show off to a teenage girl. In the mid-Sixties it had become suddenly fashionable for men to cook: the ability to do something other than a fry-up was as essential as a twin-tab collar shirt, a tonic suit and a pack of Gitanes. I blame Len Deighton.
