This soup has been in my repertoire for almost ten years! It’s one of those cold-night, wool socks, warm-me-up kind of soups. I suggest soaking the split peas overnight to shorten cooking time. When the soup is ready, the sweet potatoes and split peas will have melted into a creamy consistency. As always, add greens for an extra nutritional boost and pop of color.
