These tasty burgers are made with black rice and black beans as well as red onion and red beets. These rich and colorful foods make this burger an antioxidant powerhouse!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced red onion
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup walnuts

Method

Preparation

  1. Position the oven rack to the middle of the oven and preheat to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small sauté pan, sauté the onion with a few tablespoons of water for 5 to 7 minutes or until soft and translucent.
