French Sorrel Soup

I fell in love with the piquant French sorrel leaf as a young child. My mother grew it, which is fortunate since it can be tricky to find raw outside of farmers markets and French gourmet shops. She made a simple sorrel soup for me, and still always has some waiting for me when I come home for a visit.
