This earthy radish salad is what German grill masters serve with spiessbraten. It belongs to a family of slaws found in virtually every corner of Planet Barbecue (sla is the Dutch word for salad). There are even radish slaws in Korea), but to the best of my knowledge, this is the world’s only slaw made with icicle radishes. The soft crunch of the pungent radish and the creamy dressing make a perfect foil for the smoky, meaty chew of spiessbraten.
