“Celeriac for me looks like an earth alien,” I said. My grandma laughed and told me that until I learned the fruits and vegetables that come from the land my feet walk upon, my connection to nature would only go so far. She would say, “You know the names of fashion brands but do you know the names of the trees and nature’s bounty?”

Roasted celeriac is my jam. Try it with a good dollop of macadamia ricotta and you’ll be buying all the earth aliens you can find.
