  • 3 pints of mussels
  • pint white wine
  • 4 silver whiting

Method

Scrub the mussels in advance with a stiff brush, wash them in running water, and leave them in a bucket of fresh water. Throw away any that are already open. When once you start, the dish will not take more than half an hour to prepare.

Put the mussels in a saucepan with the wine, put on the lid, and shake them briskly over a strong flame. The shaking allows the mussels to change places
