  • 1 red cabbage of medium size, about lb boiling bacon
  • 2 onions

Method

More bacon is specified than is required by 4 people, but it can be served cold later.

Tie the bacon round with some tape so that it keeps a good shape, put it in a pot with plenty of water and bring this to the boil. Adjust the heat and let the bacon simmer for 40 minutes.
