Poles certainly love their soups, and cool summer fruit soups are no exception. Many versions, such as the strawberry version presented here, can be eaten hot or cold. These days fruit soups are often thought of as gourmet food, but actually they have their roots with Polish farmers who ate them cold as a thirst-quenching lunch on a hot summer day. Serve with golden croutons for some crunch.
