Ingredients

  • 1 white onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 4 tablespoons medium-fruity extra-virgin olive oil

Method

Chop the onion and crush the garlic clove. Put them both into a saucepan with the oil and sauté over medium heat for about 5 minutes. When the onion is almost translucent, add the tomatoes and simmer for about 20 minutes, mashing the tomatoes with a fork as needed to break them up.
