These little Swedish cookies can double as a simple pastry. Use fresh short dough that has not been rolled out previously; the dough will break as you fold it if too much flour has been mixed in. The jam should be fairly thick so it will not run when you pipe it. These turnovers taste best served the same day they are baked; the jam tends to dry out a little after a day or so.
