It did not take me long to realize that most Americans do not care all that much for quince. Part of the reason, I think, is that they have never been exposed to this fruit. When I talk about quince at school, the majority of my students look somewhat bewildered, as if they are trying to figure out what it is I said (they probably think they missed something because of my accent).
