This is another version of the very popular flourless chocolate cake, sometimes known as chocolate silk cake or chocolate decadence cake. This one, by design, is more rustic in appearance. It actually looks the way a decadence cake would if you made two major mistakes: whipping too much air into the eggs and baking the cake at too high a temperature. But both of these things are, of course, exactly what makes a soufflé rise, and are what gives this cake its name.
