Tiramisu literally means “pick-me-up.” The name is a reference to the espresso coffee in the dessert, which not only gives it a little flavor lift but also just might keep you from getting drowsy. Tiramisu is also known as Mascarpone à la Venetian, in honor of the Italian city where it is a popular favorite. Tiramisu was invented only about 25 years ago at El Touga, a restaurant in Treviso. It has become a regular feature on many restaurant menus in the last few years. My interpretat
