Don’t expect a sharp bite here. The pepper just adds a hint of spiciness that contrasts nicely with the sweet coolness of the frozen yogurt. This yogurt pairs especially well with cherry sauce and/or cherry desserts.

Method

Place half of the sugar, the honey, and the lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla.
Beat the egg yolks, stir in some of the hot sugar syrup to temper, then stir in the remaining syrup. Let cool to room temperature.
