Method
Procedure
- Combine the first quantities of milk and sugar in a heavy saucepan. Heat to dissolve the sugar, and bring the liquid just to a boil.
- Sift the cornstarch, sugar, and cocoa powder into a bowl. Gradually stir in the second quantity of (cold) milk, making a smooth, lump-free mixture.
- Gradually stir in the hot milk from step 1.
