The combination of these two citrus fruits produces a refreshing, zesty marmalade. Use it to spread on toast or to flavour homemade breakfast muffins.

Ingredients

  • 500 g/1 lb 2 oz limes

Method

  1. Halve the limes and lemons and squeeze out the juice and pips. Tie the pips, and any extra membrane that has come away during squeezing, in a piece of muslin/cheesecloth.
  2. Either by hand or using the shredding attachment of a food processor, thinly slice the lime and lemon peel, with its pith, into shreds.
