Spicy orange slices are delicious with roast duck and are remarkably good served with roast chicken, turkey and cold ham, too. The syrup can be used as a glaze when roasting poultry, pork and game.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Put the oranges in a large, heavy-based saucepan and add enough water to cover. Bring to the boil and then remove from the heat and drain well.
  2. Put the oranges in a plastic freezer container, leave to cool for 2–3 hours, then freeze for 24 hours.
