I need a new word for a dish that is more than a side but also not quite a meal unto itself. A salad evokes a big pile of greens. “Composed vegetable plate” doesn’t mean anything to anyone. I make a lot of these sorts of dishes. This is one of them. My favorite lunches are one of these dishes with a glass of wine. My favorite dinners have two or three together in concert.
