In a large jar with a lid, combine the chopped fresh and dried apricots and vodka.
Seal and let stand at room temperature for a week. Strain, pressing any fruit bits through the strainer that want to go (read: it doesn’t have to be perfectly clear). Whisk in the syrup, taste, and adjust as desired. Store at room temperature for up to 2 months.
