These are one of the things served in the bar with drinks. No matter how many are baked, they seem to get eaten just as quickly.

Ingredients

  • 225 g / 8 oz plain flour, plus more for dusting

Method

Rub the flour, butter, cheese, cayenne pepper and salt together by hand or whizz to a crumb in a food processor. Add 1 tablespoon of water and bind. Cling-wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4 and grease two baking trays with a little butter.
