In my childhood, a jar of lemon curd was a great treat. My dad liked it so he often brought some home, and we’d try to eat as much of it as we could spread on hot buttered toast before he clapped the lid on the jar. It’s so easy to make at home I wonder why, intrepid cook that he was, he used to buy it.
