  • 1 garlic clove

Method

  1. Chop the shallot, garlic, chilli, and ginger. Heat the oil in a wide heavy based pan and add. Cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes, colouring lightly.
  2. Add the curry powder and cook for a further 2 minutes, now add the lentils, mix well then add the water. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
