  • About

These miniature skewers are very popular in the north of Spain, where they are called Pinchos, which literally means stuck on a thorn. Taste, colour and shape guide the choice of ingredients, which may include cold or cured meat, pickled tuna, salted fish or even hard-boiled eggs. In the south, pickled vegetables are preferred. There, the resemblance to the bullfichter’s dart was noticed and so the skewers were renamed.
