These sweet rolls from Calabria contain the ever present Calabrian ingredient of honey. The longer they are left to prove, the bigger and fluffier in texture they become. They are excellent with tea or accompanying a dessert wine like Moscato, or for breakfast.

Method

Tip the flour on to a tabletop and make a hole in the centre with your fist. Dilute the yeast with 150 ml (5 fl oz) warm water and pour into the hole. Knead together as you would a bread dough.
