Pan-Fried Radicchio and Date Salad with Tahini and Hawaij Crunchy Nuts

This is a salad in which past meets present and the two live happily ever after. Another one of my nostalgic creations, where I have rocked my Arab roots, playing with familiar flavours while adding ingredients I was not familiar with. During my early student years in the UK, I saw red radicchio at my local grocery store. Wondering if it tasted like gem lettuce, I brought it home and stared at it for a good half hour before wrestling out this salad. The rest is history: because I still love
