Bubble and squeak is a strange name for a vegetable dish, but I believe it’s so called because of the noises the vegetables make while being fried in the pan!

As you can see in the recipe, I have given one or two alternatives. This is because bubble and squeak can really be your own invention, and either mashed or cooked potatoes, sprouts or cabbage will do the trick.
