I think it must have been during the 1960s that this wonderfully rich chocolate dessert started appearing on menus all over the place, particularly in the West Country. I am sure I am right in saying that George Perry-Smith, from the famous Hole in the Wall restaurant in Bath, was the initiator. The original recipe comes from Elizabeth D
