This chilli jam has been in my repertoire for decades. It is slow cooked in the oven instead of on the hob (stove top), as I find it easier to control and less likely to burn. This recipe makes plenty, so you can give some to your nearest and dearest as the perfect little gift. This chilli jam has many uses beyond this book, and is a proper store cupboard gem, free of preservatives and MSG, unlike most shop-bought brands.
