I really enjoy the texture and more delicious flavour of multiple layers of very thin slices of ham over the chunkier option of thickly sliced ham since the latter tends to have a duller taste. This is especially important when you are making a ham sandwich with good butter, mustard and perhaps some lettuce. Inspired to take the sandwich idea a little further, I’ve used the key elements to create a radical little salad for a bit of fun. It could be served as a substantial snack with a beer
