Bees all over the Savoie produce some of the very best honeys ever. Their tastes range from mild acacia to that of Alpine flowers strong with sage or gentian, or even the very strong evergreen, which flows from the frames dark brown and gives cakes and creams the slightly resinous flavor I dearly love, but which is an acquired taste.
