  • About

This is an old favorite standby for me. One cold, rainy summer afternoon in the Adirondacks I found myself in a farm stand/café, shopping for produce and looking for lunch. This sandwich was on the menu, and seeing it there was like finding an old friend. Even better, the proprietors used their excellent aged cheddar and garden tomatoes and served it with freshly pressed apple juice. Superlative.
