Two flavors that always go beautifully with pears are almond and cardamom, and this sour cream coffee cake has both. The pears are cut into small pieces and worked right into the batter. Warm from the oven, this makes a pretty luxurious start to any Sunday morning.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs

Method

Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Make the topping below.
