You can use this syrup to make a smooth, glassy covering over huts, or by waving it from the ends of a fork you can encase a confection with golden threads. If you let it drip onto a piece of marble or parchment paper, you’ll get little golden disks or dots that can be fastened onto almond paste or chocolate-dipped citrus peels. Caramel will soften with exposure to moist air, so it’s necessary to store these baubles in an airtight container.
