This is another famous Scottish dish. In fact, it is sometimes called the king of desserts. The origins of cranachan are actually rooted in it being eaten as a breakfast dish made from Crowdie cheese – a soft and fresh Scottish cheese made from skimmed cow’s milk – combined with lightly toasted oatmeal, cream and local honey.
