Named after the famous steam train, the Flying Scotsman was a cocktail served to the first-class passengers on the train from London to Edinburgh. The original journey in 1862 took 10½ hours, but in 1896 the train was modernised, including the introduction of a dining carriage – serving these tasty drinks. I think a couple of these cocktails and the trip would fly by! Both simple and delicious, this cocktail will make you feel like a first-class mixologist when you master it.
