There is one ingredient in this recipe that takes these scones to the next level – grated marzipan! I didn’t want the almond flavour to just come from the extract (though I recommend Pure Almond Extract from Nielsen Massey, it is beautifully fragrant), so adding the marzipan gave these scones that frangipane flavour you want from a Bakewell tart. This has very quickly become my go-to scone recipe.
