For the rice pudding

  • 450 ml ( cups + 1 tablespoon) water

Method

To make the rice pudding, add the water and the rice to a pan. Bring to the boil, cover and allow to simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. When most of the water is absorbed, add the milk and continue to simmer for about 20 minutes until the rice has a smooth, thick texture. Add the salt and butter, stir and allow to cool completely.
