This rustic-looking, golden, French, filled tart is the perfect bake to house autumnal fruits. With the edges roughly folded in to create a gorgeous, free-form pie, it is delicious served warm from the oven with cream or ice cream.
To make the pastry, add the hazelnuts and icing sugar in a food processor and blitz together. Add the spelt and plain flour, butter and a pinch of salt, and blitz again until combined; if needed add in a tablespoon of water at a time until the dough starts to form in clumps. On your work surface, knead briefly and shape into a disc, then wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
