Everyone needs a few easy no-bake desserts in their collection and Banoffee Pie is a firm family favourite. It’s as much about the textures as it is the flavour. It is creamy, soft, chewy and crumbly all at the same time.

I never thought you could improve on a classic Banoffee Pie recipe until I added a tablespoon of black treacle to the filling and a hint of mixed spice to the digestive base. Perfect for a special treat or a Sunday gathering (stretchy pants optional!).
