Winter is made for infusions, capturing flavours to last through the colder months. This delicious homemade gin liqueur is brimming with festive flavours and will be ready to sip after just a few days. Serve as a warming aperitif or use it as the base for a Festive Fizz cocktail, topping it up with prosecco or champagne.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, zested
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 150 g (5

Method

Pare the zest of the orange and lemon with a vegetable peeler and add along with the dried fruit, ginger, sugar, vanilla pods, cinnamon sticks and cloves into a lidded jar. Pour in the gin and shake vigorously.

Leave to infuse in a cool, dark cupboard for 3 to 4 days, shaking every day. It should be a dark, golden colour when ready. Strain through a piece of muslin (I recommend you do t
