Bonnach Saluinn

An oatcake, baked in the ordinary way save for the addition of a great deal of salt, which used to be eaten in the Highlands at Hallowe’en to induce dreams that would foretell the future. No water might be drunk, nor any word spoken, after it was eaten, or the charm would not work.
