Baby fava beans are a delicacy in the springtime. The favas are harvested when the beans are still very small, and the outer pods are still tender enough to eat. These are only available for a few weeks out of the year, and oftentimes you’ll need to ask your farmer to set aside the small ones for you. But, if you can get your hands on these little green gems, you’ll have a marvelous snack or side dish worth savoring. These are best served with either Miso Aiol
