People go crazy for these flaky, flavour-packed pancakes. Spring onions are another crucial weapon in your snack arsenal – they’re available all year round and will keep in your fridge for weeks, ready to deploy at a moment’s notice.
Put the 250g of flour in a large mixing bowl with the salt, then stir in 175ml just-boiled water. Combine it really well, then when it’s cool enough to handle knead the dough in the bowl until smooth. Wrap in cling film and set aside to rest for 15 minutes. In a small bowl combine the 2 tablespoons of flour with the sesame oil and Chinese five spice.
