Lemon, Almond and Pistachio Cake with Lemon Cream Frosting

She says, ‘It’s two days’ work for a tea party for twenty, and that’s now that I’ve got it down to a tee [but] the table groans with cake... we wear vintage pinnies [and] I make a bit of an effort with a frock.’
