This is a fun idea for making edible bowls, which you can use for ice cream or chocolate truffles. Clear a shelf or two in the freezer prior to making them. (It’s a chance to have a good clear-out, too’)

Ingredients

  • Enough balloons for your guests (one each)
  • Approximately 20 g chocolate per ‘bowl’
  • A freezer

Method

Blow up the quantity of balloons required, not too big (imagine an individual bowl-size). Break a good-quality bar of dark, milk or white chocolate into pieces (allow about 20g chocolate per balloon) and melt it in a bowl in the microwave (on full power) in 30-second bursts (NEVER longer, or it seizes), or in a bain-marie, making sure the bowl doesn’t tou
