  • About

This spoon sweet or preserve was placed at the table at desayuno, or it was served after dinner with silver spoons for scooping up a bit of the preserve and glasses of ice water for sipping. I make this preserve every summer, sometimes adding a bit of grated fresh ginger along with the spices. You must stay by the stove to stir during the last half-hour of cooking, so the figs do not scorch or stick.
