Method

Line a deep tray with two layers of paper towel. Use a spray bottle filled with cold water and dampen the paper towel well. Rinse the barley quickly under cold running water and then shake off the excess water. Lightly sprinkle the barley over the paper, leaving plenty of room between the grains.
